  • Rotorblade holder.

Just made up a king post that fits on the rotor head (hub-bar) about 500mm high, supported on each side by two thin cables that clip to the ring gear (left/right) and a 28ft. rubberised cable passing through the top (anchored in the middle) and out to two rubberised clamps that clip over the rotor blade ends. This enables the blades to be supported when pushing through rough terrain. Just tested it this morning as I have a 1km bush track to my take off point. It works great. No hub bar stress. You could taxi with it if you were insane as if it came off the prop would wind it up and probably kill you in the process! It can be installed by one person and rolls up into a small space and can be taken with you. Don"t ask for photo"s cause it"s too time consuming to put photo"s on the forum

More busy in retirement than I ever was Birdy. (Retirement without a gyro would be like sex without a woman) ;D
