  • Around Oz

Myself, two mates and our wives are leaving on Tuesday to fly around Oz by gyrocopter. Wayne Mitchell from Newcastle, John Mc Dermott from Nowra and me from Sydney will be traveling clockwise heading down South through Victoria and west from there.
We have started a Facebook page for anyone interested in following the trip, it’s called “ Australia by Gyrocopter” and your all welcome to join if you wish.

A map update on our trip so far. Yesterday we flew to Horn Island off the tip of Cape York and were the first gyrocopters to have ever landed there.

Arrived home last Friday. For anyone interested we logged over 140 flying hours, travelled over 15000 Kim and used over 2500 liters of fuel. The only mechanical problems we had were minor, not even a puncture.
Trip of a lifetime, I would recommend it to anyone.
