I can only assume people are having too much trouble getting on this forum Rick. I miss the old one where we discussed technical things

I was talking to Rusty Ferguson just recently.
Rusty clocked up 23 470 hours in gyro's. ( he said that probably more)
Mentioned about leaving one of his gyros in a tree. The wheel was caught in a fork in the tree. He was hanging from the seat belt in the seat, and fuel dripping out. used his pocket knife to cut the seat belt, then climbed down out of the tree.
That is where he left that gyro, went and bought another (from Tim McClure).

Will do a story for the GN on Rusty later

I've met heaps of guys with similar stories Ross. There's a guy out at Dubbo that's got a gyro with a V8 motor, now he's a character.
Tony Denton was going to write a story on Ross Symes for GN as well, might be worth chasing up.
