  • MTO3 Crashed Pilot in Hospital (USA)

Master RodaYou say"Did you do a stress analysis of those welds? They may be ugly, but they may also be strong and have perfect penetration."I say that the sort of welder you employ to weld an aircraft structure wouldn"t know how to make and "ugly" weld. Also from experience I know that stainless is so easy to weld it"s difficult to do it as badly as the one I saw.For the rest of the discussion I have nothing to add, I haven"t flown an MT or a Xenon more"s the pity.In fact for the statistics you can add another MT crash, it is the MT03 in the hanger I"ve just moved into. The owner (about 66 I heard), who I never had the time to meet crashed yesterday. The wreck is under a police seal next to my gyro in the hanger. The owner is in hospital but I know nothing more about his condition. I won"t repeat what I"ve heard for the moment it was all "somebody told me that somebody told him" sort of information.Mike G More info to come on USA Forum.
