    Sam we usually run a piece of cord (loosely) through the middle of springs to capture them in the event of failure. Its the last thing you need flapping around in front of the prop if they let go.

      I always run a piece of black elastic cord through the spring (avail. at hardware shops.) That way if it hooks anywhere it doesn"t kill you! Inspected a craft one day and the owner used steel cable. I proved that it could hook on a bolt and jam the controls, causing a disaster.

        if reply no:1 was on the post as is shown before my reply no:8, asking questions, it seems i was even more tired than usual and didn"t even see it. i must of been having a crap day guys,
