Hi Stuart, just remember to put 30' blades on it if you are going to use the 80 hp Rotax 912 that wayne had in it, or put a 130 hp engine on it. It was very marginal two place even in cool weather and I suggested to Wayne to sell his 27' rotors and buy some 29' or 30' blades.I think that it would go rather well with the 80 hp if it had 30' blades.hese are just my impressions seeing it operate and from what students have mentioned.Good luck and if you need any advice don't hesitate to call or email. Enjoy your new challenge. As a matter of interest, what is your aviation experience?Aussie Paul.[]www.firebirdgyros.com

Good luck with the rebuild Stuart and good to see this gyro icon fly again. I would take Paul's good advice on rotor size seriously when you come to replace them.PeteBairnsdale,Vic.
