The Westlake has 2 individual cranks, in that what appears to be a reduction drive housing, is I guess just that,

How awesome... Any idea of cost? I take it they are direct drive engine? No need for reduction drive? Would love to see some rpm, hp, torque and fuel consumption figures? ;DI reckon it would be pretty ordinary without a reduction drive & that would add another 20 kg & that makes it nearly too heavy

Diesel Air Ltd has designed and developed a100HP compression ignition engine for aircraft use based on the opposed piston two stroke principle used by Junkers, Rolls-Royce, Napier and Coventry Climax. The modern horizontal version introduced by DAIR results in a lightweight powerful unit ideally configured for installation in most light aircraft on the market today. The 100hp engine provides high operating efficiency, reliability and extended TBO.text copied fromhttp://www.dair.co.uk/

All of that diesel air (Dair) stuff is from 2004, they say that Westlake is building them under licence (in 2004) so I think that Westlake has taken over the production (or resurrected it)
