different photo if your interested.Thanks Ross . Yes, they were the days when the flying doctor had aircraft that could land / takeoff anywhere, a couple of hunded yards clear of obstacles was about all they needed, landing gear was near unbreakable & small holes etc

That made a mess of the cab on that grader, very lucky operator !One of my worst busters was at near walking pace..........you hear that add " speed kills" what a load of rubbish! If that was true we should have dead jet pilots everywhere & no F1 drivers left

It"s alway a punt, do you hold on or do you bail? In this case the operator walked away with barley a scratch. When she started to go he dropped on the deck of the cab and wrapped himself around the verticle shaft housing that drives the dog boxes and rode it all the way down. It"s hard to tell from the photo but it is a very steep hill, too steep to walk up, it was a hands and feet job to climb up and down to the grader from the top of the ridge where he was working. My old grader has never been the same since.
