More pics and details as to why they use 15CDV6 chrome-molly vanadium, as it is stronger than the "usual" aeronautical steel SAE 4130.This trend in Europe to use stainless steel by some manufacturers worries me given that a stainless mast here in OZ developed a crack at very low hrs...perhaps a one off, I dont know. Conversations I"ve had with heat treaters and people in the business makes me cautious. On the Gents web site he quotes figures for yield strength and tensile strength from 4130 to 15CDV6 which has the higher figures.
