Thanks Birdy and Greg, my helmet setup is pretty good [full face helmet] but my problem [one of them] is in the hearing protection area in which I find that after putting in the moulded ear plugs, I have to have the radio volume turned up full blast which distorts and becomes harder to make out whats being said. I like the full face helmets cause they provide good protection in the frosty weather and in summer you can flip the visor up to get some breeze.I did try one day a lap with an avaition headset on my scone, which wasnt hooked up, and found it was substantially quieter than a helmet and ear plugs and ever since then been interested in a helmet incorporating a aviation hedset and all the advantages of a full face helmet !!Seeing all the photos makes me even more disappointed in not being able to make Cooma but I guess missing the "wog" part, helps a little !!Brian. You never know how far you can go, till you get there !

I reckon you'd still need plugs with these skid lids Brian.I only flew for bout an hour continously once and me ears were start'n to echo.[or the space between um was ring'n anyway.]Reckon they'd be fairly sing'n after 8 or 10 hours, and Mitches donk woz relativly quiet.Ignorance is bliss............but only till you realise you were.Ingratitude stinks.......be generous carefully.
