Accident in Timber Creek

The missus just showed me an article where 48 year old James Russels Body has been recovered from the Victoria creek. He had departed from the Timber creek airstrip (about 600 km south of Darwin) and was reported missing last Thursday. The police divers have been operating from within a cage because of the number of crocs in that river. He apparently clipped wires. The gyro itself has been located and is still to be recovered.

Sad news, Condolences.
I would imagine any water ways up there would be a challenge for any sort of recoveries.

Both pilot and machine have been recovered from the river. ASRA will have someone on site in Timber Creek in the next few days to assist local police with any help they may require.
Our thoughts are with Jacks family and friends in this difficult time.
