  • Gyro Accident Tasmania - when it was removed this replaced it

I have been forced to move the topic about this as it has gotten far too personal. The ASRA board has access to the original thread. Can we please ease up a bit in future, I don"t like having to do this. Thanks and sorry for having to do this also.

Fair enough,It is a pity that the thread degenerated into what it did, only because some people wanted to make a bigger splash than Alan! The accident In Tassie provided me with one thing. I was getting a bit slack on my preflight, I now check everything I should, every time.Mark.

I will have to admit that I am a bit disappointed in this decision.I am not a fan of free moderation and as such we introduced a Forum Policy (available to all readers of this forum) that gave the moderator full coverage to delete any posts that did not comply with the policy, (eg personal attacks). There were many good information "legal" posts on this thread that would appear to have also been deleted.I would be curious to know what parts of my posts breached the policy?

Gidday All,Firstly. I point out empahtically here again, that my posts that are signed "Waddles" are personal and do not come from an ASRA appointee. Those are signed with my proper name.So. If you guys want this thread to continue I can start off again with my account of my recollections and speculation, modified only to include the answers to questions that were posed in the original thread.I am not a forum hound and don"t get the time to browse often, but I will try to keep up if that"s what you want.Let me know. And thanks for the thoughts that have been offered to date.Regards,Waddles.When you reckon you know it all, get out of the game.

Under the circumstances the action that dg2829 took was a wise decision.

Seems that I wasted my time. Why didn"t you just delete the offensive stuff? Ken

With due respect there is more to the posts than meets the eye Ken.

I will just put in this post then keep off the forum for awhile because I seem to cause too much trouble.I started a thread earlier where I put up the thrust results of an engine I had been testing. One post stated blunly that the figures were suss. This can only be taken two ways. Either I was dishonest or I did not have the intelligence to take reasonably accurate measurements. All got sorted out and turned out some things on the motor had been changed to give more hp, without resorting to personal insults. In the deleted thread I wore nine consecutive posts of personal insults before I decided that right of reply must also apply to insults. If anyone else was offended by this my apologies.Peter.

Stay with it, Pete. This is a fairly testing time for a few people. At times like that, it is often easy to ruffle some feathers unintentionally. These blokes are all "salt of the earth" (even though Russ hasn"t been quite the same since he built that bar for some blokes up north!

Hey Brian, there was no anger in my posts. I dont wish to be lumped in with those two blokes argument. My posts were strictly to do with the fix it actions after the accident. Ken

Gidday All,I"ve liased with Webbie and I think it possible to have the original thread edited and re-posted.The decision that was taken was not Webbie"s. He was requested to take action by other members offended by the language. His call now.Waddles.
