Sad to say that there was a confirmed gyro crash today... sadly the pilot didn"t survive..... The pilot was Ted Hurley, the accident was west of Gatton, Qld.Sincere condolences to Teds family, loved ones and caring neighbours..... sorry and saddened by your loss....http://www.abc.net.au/news/2014-11-2...sylvia/5909818

Terrible news, knew Ted well, one guy that could really yank and bank a gyro. He lived Mt Isa for many yrs, then few yrs back relocated south east.Loved photography, especially out of his gyros, steered with his knees, through canyons etc, taking pics all the time. Condolences to his family.

Damn i knew i knew the name,,, i enjoyed his company a few times, he was a top guy.

my thoughts go out to his family but also to our board whose lives are changed yet again. we have been having a good run. the lastest mag not having any written reports was a huge bonus.
