  • Resignation

G’Day Board and members,It is with regret that I am forced to announce my resignation from this current ASRA Board, effective immediately. I mulled over this for 24 hours but I still feel the same. This is a very hard decision for me to make because the ASRA and its members has been the controlling influence in my life for the last 20+ years. The Evans’ and Adrian have held me personally responsible for all the current turmoil within ASRA and I am sick and tired of taking the blame for their invalid actions. I no longer have the stomach to listen to any more attempts at cover-ups and whitewashing, and I intend to leave it up to the rest of the Board and the membership to judge them as they see fit.If I have done anything wrong at any time at all then I would be more than happy to stand accountable to the membership for that. The membership are after all, the ‘judge and jury’ in all matters pertaining to the Association. The last straw for me was when John and Llewella refused to accept the mediator’s findings (email 29/7) after giving their written word that they would. We are promised that these findings will be available on the web site so you should all be able to make up your own minds.I apologise if this causes any inconvenience to anyone, but my seeking recognition and resolution from the Board after invalid action was taken, was like banging my head against a brick wall, and as such very little has been achieved at Board level since this all started over 10 months ago. With regret, Tim McClure. 30/7/07

Well said, Keith. However, I reckon its nearly time for people to think about how we conduct elections. Boards (like families) consist of people thrust together to try to do a job. We have survived (up til now), but there have been some fairly large "dust ups" along the way. If you had those 20 yrs of gyro news"s (that I wouldn"t let you have
