Since I first become an asra member I have skimmed through every gyro magazine when it arrived looking for information like the article on calculatig coning angle then throw them in the corner. Most of the technical type information they contained I had learned in my first few days of training.

Bones, over the years I have asked alot of questions that have gone unanswered or vaguely answered. In the long hours flying over thick mulga I have blindly relied on the experts, often wondering whats happening just above my head. In the last year I have had time to research these questions and test the results. The results I have posted in Rotor Blates under the title Teeter Height ? In posting it on the forum it will either be shot down or endorsed. I take it that if it has merit it will be taken up by other people and end up in the gyro magazine. If you think my post is accurate and informative then I would be happy to place an article in the gyro news. I apoligize if I sounded disparaging of gyro news. It was very frustrating not to be able to find more technical information when I was looking for answers to my questions.

The coroner sent a number of cracked or broken hub bars that had been supplied by asra to the transport safety authority who concluded that design and maintenance were contributing factors. I have not been able to find what asra are doing about design. Can you let me know what is happening on that front. ThanksPeter
Congratulations Graeme on a well presented very professional magazine. Now if we can just get more members to send in more articles and photos to you to make your job easier.
