Gidday All,I have contacted CASA who have agreed to send you all briefing material on the recent introduction of the random Alcohol and Other Drug Testing legislation (AOD).Whilst ASRA pilots are unlikey to be "targeted" without due cause, if you happen to be at an airport where this is happening, as a participant in Security Sensative Aviation Activities (SSAA), you may be tested.Refusal to take the test is an offence under the legislation.Would appreciate a call from anyone who happens to be tested. Thanks.Regards,Allan Wardill.

Firefly,I"ll send you my copy if you want. I know I filed it in a safe place! You"re right. All ANR holders should have received the package. But, why don"t we as well, seeing as we are subject to the same rules and ignorance thereof is no excuse. It"s called butt covering on ASRA"s part.Sorry for the buildup of mail and the waste of our dollars that are apparently sorely needed elsewhere!!!Regards,Allan WardillBirdy & Bones. The paper is no good for rollies of any sort either.
