  • TA Course

Gidday All,In response to requests from the membership, I am seeking expressions of interest from prospective attendees at a TA course to be held somewhere in the Central Coast region of NSW early in the New Year.Specific dates, times and venues are yet to be finalised and will to some degree be based on the numbers involved. The course is intended for those desiring to become TAs, TAs who need a refresher and other interested persons.Direct costs will be contributed to by the participants and in the past this has equated to approximately $100 per head depending on attendance. Course duration will be 2 1/2 to 3 days over a weekend. Please respond to myself and Murray Barker at g747@ozemail.com.au and murraysbarker@bigpond.com.au with your intention to attend, in what category and preferred dates in January.Regards,Waddles

Gents,Basically, we can run TA courses as and where required. It just needs someone to organise a venue, gyros for inspection and attendees. Minimum would be around 6 with a max of 12. As direct costs for Adrian to conduct the courses is passed on to the attendees, the more, the cheaper per head.Basic requirements for qualification are:Have satisfactorily constructed at least 1 gyro.Basic mechanical knowledge and practical application.Literacy skills.Current member.Satisfactorily complete an on-line examination. (Open book but time limited)Those not meeting the above are still free to attend for learning purposes but may not qualify as a 2 seat TA.Don"t forget to email myself and Murray direct if you plan on attending the course in January.I"m still waiting for confirmnation of the time and venue.Regards,Waddles.

Why not have one at the nationals? Then Birdy can attend and teach us some station tricks of the trade. Cheers Des Garvin

Gents,Adrian is unable to conduct this course before about May this year due to his committments to the 2010 Nationals. He will advise when clear dates become available. It is also likely that he will run another in WA later in the year.Any inconvenience is regretted.Regards,Waddles.
