  • Accident - Mannum SA

Gents,Investigation is continuing into this tragedy. A potential anomoly has been found in the wreck and I am hoping someone out there can help with some information please. The manufacturer of the gyro is listed as Conway/Bassott/Henley-Smith.Does anyone know where Jeff had his control cables made up or did he fabricate them himself?Dante Bassott has resigned from ASRA and the archived phone number is not answering. Does anyone have a contact for him please? Thanks.Regards,Allan Wardillg747@ozemail.com.au

Gidday All,Thanks very much to those who responded to my request above.I have spoken with Dante and have located the previous owner of the accident gyro who believes he knows where the control cables fitted to this machine were manufactured. I hope to have that information on Monday and will pursue enquiries with them.Witness statements courtesy of the Police are to hand. There appears to be at least one reliable witness, an off-duty Police Officer who was also first on the scene. These are being studied at the moment.More as it comes to hand.Allan Wardill.

Gidday All,Update. The cable manufacturer has been located and contacted for some perhaps, useful information. The cables are in the hands of the Police Forensic people for microscopic inspection. Nothing from them to date.Witness statements are being perused for useful, consistent information. Nothing outstanding as yet.Allan Wardill.
