  • BOT's and SPAM Engines

The ASRA Forums and I"m sure many other forums have been targeted particularly heavily recently by BOT & SPAM engines and compromised computer systems, in the last week alone there have been over 500 attempted registrations that got through the old rule set from various BOT & SPAM gangs this is a substantial increase in the number which normally around 10 per day that actually get through the initial rules, as result of the increase I have had to add quite a number of additional rules to reduce the number to a manageable level per day.Unfortunately due to the marked increase I believe I may have inadvertently deleted 2 legitimate registrations, to those people I"m sorry. Please do register again. To the BOT and SPAM Gangs, would you please stop trying to register, registration is only completed manually by real people.

Oops one Tick box too many in the process of stopping profiles being cached into Search Engines. Now altered to suit provided you are of course logged in, however anyone that is in the "ASRA members" group would not have been affected. If you send me a PM with your ASRA member number.I"ll add you to the ASRA member group as that group was not affect by the "one tick too many" issue that has been mentioned it will also give you access to a couple of other forums that are otherwise invisible to "regular members"Regards webmaster (David)
