    Amendments

Gidday All,In the past, ASRA has produced and distributed amendments to the Operations Manual and the Guide to Flight Rules and Procedures as and when required. This procedure ceased some years ago due to significant rises in the costs of printing and distribution. Amendments continue to be required due to regulatory and policy changes and have been produced and included in the versions of the respective documents that are currently available on the website.A recent internal audit revealed some errors with page dates in the Checklist of Current Pages in the Ops Manual and this has been rectified in the latest version. This version also incorporates all amendments up to and including Amendment 6.It is necessary to stay abreast of these changes and in order to update your personal documents, may I suggest that you print out the current Checklist of Current Pages from the website, then compare this with the Checklist in your personal Manual. Where necessary, download and print the latest pages, read and absorb their content and replace the old pages with the new ones. The format uses A5 paper to fit into your covers, so some knowledge of printing procedures in required to print back to back on A5 sized paper. For the unsure, A5 size is 1/2 A4 size and A4 pages can be cut to make 2 A5 pages. The Guide to Flight Rules and Procedures has been completely revamped due to the regulatory changes that came into play on June 3rd this year. I recommend that you print the new version in total, then replace your current Guide with the latest version. Please note the significant changes dealing with circuit procedures and radio calls. Note also, that CTAF(R)s no longer exist.Comments and errors noted should be addressed to me via email. Commenting on this Forum is OK, just as long as I receive an email followup please. Thanks for your time.Regards,Allan Wardill.
