Gyro Nationals Wondai

Hi all, Quit a few of us gyro nuts flew up to Wondai for the Nationals, it was a great event, we flew up their on friday and flew back first light sunday. So we did not stay for the presentation, has anyone posted anything about who won what,who attended, who took out the Grand Champion, who won the spot landing????????????????????????? ???

G,day Pete,Brett won the grand champion, Scott, Ian and yourself all picked up awards. Can"t remember who won what but I am sure it will be in the next gyro news.Hope to catch up soon.

Brett Grand Champion, thats great, pretty sad really when it"s suppose to be the premier event on the Gyro/ASRA calendar. i have been to quiet a few and it"s alway"s the same. Pete >

I was a very happy visitor too and left with a big smile on my dial , a very smoothe run event in my opinion. the talent of those people organisers was supurb. I heard third hand that Darrell has had his knee operated on again.[ so hope your on the mend mate ] and I reckon that they had the right to be " were all gyroed out" too, not that many of them flying that week end , but it would be safe to say , they would be all " event organized out." it was well done guys and the girls. maybe just saving it for the mag that everyone gets. but that"s me.

I thought it was run fabulously, the members that organised it, the ladies who fed us....(constantly!) the chief bbq dude that was cooking like a champ.... the atmosphere was great. I enjoyed Adrian S"s sermons

Hi Tony yes I have had 2 more ops on my knee since the nationals. No wonder that I couldn t get around too well.went to the drs he sent me to hospital to have an IV inserted, they sent me down to Cleveland in Brisbane .Opened up the joint washed it out,waited a week and they opened it up again.Now just waiting to heal to go home.
