ASRA held the AGM over the weekend in Caboolture and as most of you are probably aware Paul has stood down from the presidents role and Allan also has also stood down from the Ops managers job. Fortunately they are both prepared to assist with the transition of the new board as the complexity of ASRA,s role in the aviation community as well as the work required to run an association is quite staggering.
I have taken over from Paul and Jeff Blunt has taken on the heavy workload of Ops manager.
Our aim over the next twelve months apart from the day to day operations of ASRA is to promote the sport throughout the country via air shows and by any other means possible. To achieve this we will require a lot of help from members as the more gyro knowledge available the better. I'm hoping that at any event we will have a mix of home builders as well as factory built machine pilots to engage with the public.
I'm sure there will be lots of challenges over the next twelve months but looking forward to an exciting future for the sport.
