I had mine break in the same place on me at Ceduna Airport on the way to the nationals at Wongan Hill. Didn"t know it was broken until I did my flight check before we took off the next morning. Had no choice at the time but to cut the line and pull it through from the bottom and re-join it. The hose was still quite soft but it kept breaking, ended up steeling the breather line of Michael Waldon"s machine and it got me to WA.Adrian had some tubing that he uses, so we replaced it while we were their and never had an issue since.

There is " silicon " hosing available, not pure clear, slight green in colour, will age but takes a long time. Stays nice and flexy. Source via chainsaw shops. ( huskvana shops use it )
If you aim for nothing, you'll hit it every time
