Thank you All,I slipped on a wet floor on Christmas night, fell on top of my computer, and busted some ribs. No. I was stone cold sober, probably the problem. The bruised kidney and spleen appear to be settling, the punctured lung is mending OK, and the collapsed lower left lung is filling again. There is a pneumothorax which is the problem now. I can't fly for another 2 weeks for fear of collapsing the lung again. A hell of a way to get some time off.Question: What is the safer; 4 engine outs in a gyro in a year, or walking from one room to another in a major international hotel???If anyone tells you that gyro flying is dangerous, tell 'em they're dreamin'.Hope you all have a Happy New Year.Regards,Waddles.I met a bloke in the hospital by the name of "morph". What a top guy. In his presence, their are no cares in the world, and life is wonderful. He doesn't hang around long enough though.

G'Day Al,Sooner than latter Morph will be gone for good. Then a bloke name of Pan-da-dol will try an take his place. And the world will be just how it was before you left on that last run.Happy New Year Mate.Mitch.www.thebutterflyllc.comA thinker sees his own actions as experiments and questions--as attempts to find out something. As any computer geek has to ask, how was the computer??????It brings a whole new meaning to the old addage, 'To err is human, to really stuff up requires a computer!'telfFlying - The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss. Telf,The computer did it... any astute insurance company barrister will tell you that. It was probably having its revenge on Allan for running Microshaft on it.. no Linux computer would do your ribs in for breach of copyright. My guess is that it was waiting for the the right opportunity to make it look like an accident, so it seems its timing could not have been better.. you know, the old EMP through the leg muscles trick, its all a CIA conspiracy this, terrrible what they do to the ordinary man..Allan - did you open the screen to see how it was looking back at you?Ah, I better behave myself, this might not do my next review any favours... at least you can smile and it wont hurt.Cheers,Nick

Al,Don't believe any-one that tells you "4 - 6 weeks" for broken ribs. 6 -8 months is closer to the mark. Get well soon.Fred
