I have been getting Returned e-mail supposingly from myself (ASRA Webmaster), the latest sent from the ASRA Webmaster to the ASRA Vice President. The e-mail contains an attachment named "Instructions.zip". Fortunately our server has picked it up as a *DETECTED* ONLINE USER VIOLATION. If you receive such e-mail, as it did NOT come from myself, DO NOT OPEN THE FILE AT ANY COST!!!!.Barry Ferguson,ASRA WebmasterPh (07)5464-4993Int +61 7 5464-4993logic will get you from A to B - imagination will take you anywhere

Lloyd,Laptop Video support? Are you running a dill computer?I've got a Tosh A10 Satellite, not the most modern but with mandrake 9.2 it screams along. The problem is not the video, as attested to by the DVD's I can play on it, it is who publishes them for which region. They are unfortunately encoded and the codecs have not been made avialable to FOSS.There was some norwegian kid who developed some software that was able to defeat the codec problem but he was doen over by Microsoft for breaching their 'right' to deny people the ability to look at their crap from other than a microsoft platform.WMV's seem to suffer the same problem, but linux video on a linux computer is good. As to the wmv's, it is but a matter of time.Cheers,Nick.

Yeah thats a pain, but I was talking more about the video card drivers. Its always such a tedious process to get full 3D working on the laptops for some reason. Thankfully ATI and NVidia are finally starting to recognise the linux community and produce driver kits.Hey this will interest you..Massachusetts state govt has decreed all govt records must be stored in industry standard open formats. MS formats dont comply, and MS say they wont provide open doc formats for their apps.

I love it...Soon will come the day when m$ realises they've been playing their cards far too close to their chest, then they'll be out of the game.Wait 'til 'longhorn' comes out with its infuriating encryption, I've not doubt linux will come to the fore immediately.Do NVidia and ATI have a driver site? If so do you have an address?Cheers,Nick.
