Everytime I ponder how to make something, I find there is already something "off the shelf" To do the job!Well done Des.My first serious Kiss of the ground In a gyro would have been a walk away and buy new blades and propellor event, except for the ticka,ticka,ticka of the electric fuel pump.The small fire starting some where around the manifold quickly became a large fire with the fueline hosing petrol onto the whole affair. By the time I managed to kill the ignition, the flames were past control and all that remained was to stand back and watch my beloved gyro do its best impression of the wicked witch from the west, metling into a pool of molten aluminium.somehow the front wheel managed to escape unscathed and even more luckily, I didnt get knocked out during the impact and tumbling along the ground part of the crash.A cutout switch on the fuel pump would have certainly saved the machine and preserved my life if I was unconcious.Mark.
