Young Des,Mine is located below and behind my throttle quadrant and slightly under the seat - there are two of them so I can´t inadvertently operate one of them and kill the motor, they are also independently wired to the coil, so if one wire fails the other will hold, I test them both in my pre flights. And, yes, they kill the fuel pump.Cheers,Nick.

G"day Des,Good stuff. I"ve noted your stuff for a while, especially the kill switch for the Fuel injector pumps. My kill switch is right by the throttle. Can activate it with the hand on the throttle, but not so you can accidently knock it to off. I get uncomfortable flying with my hand off the throttle. It"s one of the most important controls. There"s a whole heap of reasons why you might want to kill the motor (including the throttle spring, or cable sticking). The deal breaker for me, is if you throw a blade. The vibration is ferocious, and if you can"t kill the engine quick, the engine and mounts might just depart along with the blade. That"ll stuff up the centre of balance a bit.Cheers

Fred, ol mate, a negitive terminal isolater controled by oil pressure would be better.Coz if your on your lid, and fuel is run"n everywhere, you dont want any sparks. [ poof] :-Only down side i can think of with this is on 4banger rotaxs, coz from my own experiance as well as others, 4bangers will still run upside down with one carb riped off and all prop blades reduced to tooth pix, so youd still have oil pressure, and the isolater wont.

Agree with you there, Dave. It"s on me list of jobs to do, once I get the pistons back in.
