nic, tim also said with the hand brake on, the back wheels locked it should also push the car along. so with the back wheel bearings not turning do you multiply x2 or divide by 2 for friction ??????

I can push a car,I cant lift a car,If I could push a car with my groin, does that mean I have 2500kgs of thrust? I dont think so?

Nic, it would look even weirder turning the seat around, and I don"t think having the huge horizontal stab at the front would be a good idea. I haven"t got time to mess with it so it will probably be disassembled for parts

Murray,I"d thought about this - how about using some corflute to streamline it and see what effect this has on its performance.Has it actually flown?Coverting it to a pusher might not be that hard, it would be a shame to toss that tail away - looks like a work of love and art.Cheers,Nic.

Nic, yes it has flown and quite well, it just hasn"t got the climb rate to clear the trees at the end of the strip. A simple cowl over the engine and streamlining behind the seat would be all it needs but I would rather spend the time finishing my Little Wing.

Muz , you might have built the ultimate initial training gyro. Perfect for ground runs, mains balancing, rotor handling up to short hops. You cant get high enough to do some real damage.....I"m not having a go at you , tugger could be a valuable training machine. What do you think ?

Murray, what are you worried about the trees for?All the prunning gear is up the front!, just grit yer teeth, squint a bit and go for it

Why don"t you buy it and finish it off?MurrayLooming legal action with the strife.. I"d hate to lose such a piece of art to what is now such an unworthy cause.Cheers,Nic.

Just to update you all,We are making progress, we have managed to get Hp values by using the Dyno and it appears that we are only getting 105 Hp from the Suby....all appears well and she sounds fine.

Some disagree and feel that in general a well coweled tractor will perform better than the uncoweled pushers we generally fly???

There is no doubt that cowling is everything, I havent got the book here but back in the late 90"s a bloke in the USA built an aircraft powered by a rotax 582 or 618 that achieved the world record 206 MPH, yes, thats not a typo so its plain obvious that his design was a very efficient although it wasnt practical as an everday aircraft. It had a co efficient of some incredible number, better than an F1 racer.
