    Hi all,This might sound like a dumb question to all you seasoned experts, but I"m a newbie, so please forgive me.

    Was done in the US 20 years ago. Two Rotax 503 with 60" props. Direct drive would not have the push needed.Aussie Paul.

      Thanks for that, Paul.Hmmm.... Is that simply due to the draggy nature of a rotary wing or are there other factors that caused it to fail?

        Hi zoinks have a look through youtube using gyro and twin engine as search words you should get a look at what paul is talking about. I think there was a bit of an issue, that if one engine failed it had a nasty potential to spin the gyro??? good luck with the search.Matt
