  • Suzuki Swift motor

I recently purchased a 2008 1500cc all alloy Suzuki Swift engine complete with box, computer and full harnness including the key and imobiliser for $400 out of the paper. Have had it running laid over on its side with a dry sump. Smooth as. Am working on the belt redrive soon and hopfully will have it bench tested within a few months. The engine is a little heavy at 100kg but produces 100HP. It has all the modern stuff like computer with built in barometer, electronic ignition, vvt, and fuel injection. I have removed the exhaust gas return and fuel vapor return. Hopefully this thing will provide enough cheap power for my next machine. Plenty of them around and most will be out of warrenty in about 2-3 years so we should see them second hand at low prices. I know they are not as powerful as the Susuki GTI motor but they are 1984 models and hard to find.

G"day Noel, Good to see you"re still into pace setting and tackling new challanges. Good luck with the project. Iv"e just installed one of your elect. trims to my new build. I feel like a real pilot playing with the switch.
