Tony, the grand kids will probably still be thinking about which mobile phone they want implanted in thier head next, and what thier next tattoo or piercing should be..... they will prolly only have an app for a gyro by then, it will be illegal to leave thier house in case they get hurt

Maybe the debate simply ran out of diesel? Water in the fuel?Are there any small capacity diesels in the new small diesel cars that might be suitable? 3 or 4 cylinder that might be all alloy and not weigh a ton?

Yes mate, the EE20 boxer diesel, but it weighs about 136KG ready to bolt on a prop, direct drive...Too heavy, otherwise, magnificent

That doesn"t sound that heavy MadMuz, especially if it"s economical and you can account for some of it"s weight by missing fuel.

True disco, however, once you add the weight of the prop and its hub, and the prop boss on the crank, then add radiator and liquids.... then work out how to adequately mount it flexibly but strongly, the weight would be getting up around 170+ KG. Considering that the max all up empty weight of a gyro

Two stroke diesel would go well like a little Detroit engine. Do you remember the rpm they would do it sounds like their gunna blow but they love it.Mike.
