  • oil temp 912

hey guys just wondering if there is anything i can do to cut down on time sitting round warming up.Lets say on a 25-30 deg day its taking a good 8mins and cooler morning taking up to 12mins. when flying oil temp is only reaching 70 max when working. Water temp is only running bout 40deg, To me everything is running very cool. This is on a Sportcopter 912m. Any idea s would be helpful. Thanks

I fitted an oil thermostat to my 912 and reduced the warm up time in cold weather from 15 minutes to only a few minutes.

The MTO"s come standard with an oil thermostat. Jeff.

Tom, check the supply voltage to your instruments with an independent multimeter.Regards..........Chook.

Tom,This is a common problem with the 912 install in sportcopters especialy if they are not using an independent oil cooler. The most effective solution then involves blanking 30%+ of the rad airflow using duct tape. Sould you have an independent oil cooler then you will need to install a vernitherm in the oil circuit
