Does anyone know if the cam and crank angle sensors on a subaru are polarity sensitive?

This morning I reversed the cam angle sensor wires and away she went. Eye-Haaar

So they are polarity sensitive?

You can usually tell (but not necessarily) if they have different coloured wires, or if one of of the wires is earthed to the main body of the sensor.
