G'day All,
A contact in the US has advised that the gyro community over there has experienced at least two known failures of the needle clips on 914 and 912 engines. Rumours of more but unconfirmed. They are changing them as a matter of course, every two hundred (200) hours.
It may be wise to check on these regularly if you operate these engines.
Regards,
Waddles.
