Hi BobHas the 2 seater in top pic flown yet. Interested to know how it performs with the full cab, 2 up, and the 2 stroke powering it? I"m guessing its a 618?Regards SamL..........

Hi Brian,Would be interested to know more about what you know about the Mini 500, I did a direct comparison with the PEP exhaust on a 500 and it was able to lift a railway sleeper on the skids which wouldn"t even get off the ground with the standard 582 exhaust. A lot of the bad press about this machine came from comments from ill informed individuals. Ray.

Unfortunately for him, it was mostly bad news. The factory weren"t seemingly interested in helping fix problems that were happening in other 500" such as cracked frames etc and when the engine seized,

G"Day Bob,Hope you sell some product. I was impressed with your gyro up at Burren last year, particularly the single place enclosed pod, which you put together very nicely. Have a great year.Hey Chopper,Bob may have been talking to the same guy a few of us met at Temora last year. Dont remember his name and cant find the card. He had a white mini 500 that looked a million dollars. I think the guy was in his 70"s looked to be early 60"s, had been an aviator but wasnt licensed to fly the Mini. Price from memory was $43-45,000.This bloke grabbed me when I was on a brief brake from sitting on the flight line, confirmed my identity then went on to tell me , same, same as Bob said above. 75-80 HP depending on air intake fitted or not and some other factor which I forget. Just remembered, the guy was actually telling us how to cut the rotax exhaust up and insert a plate....yada, yada. Not a techo so went in and out. Someone else will know.I asked a fella I know from the Flood Tent

Seasons greetings Mitch. Pleased to hear you too made it through the "silly" season, seems things are getting back to " normal" again, only thing Christmas is on its way again.

a bit more info on the 582 pep exhaust ,a standard rotax exhaust is used ,the **** end is removed ,the internals are removed ,a new fabricated cone end is welded back on then a standard motor bike muffler is used ,jetting has to be increased, i had a guy who built and maintained bike race engines do this work, the detailed drawings i lent to a trike pilot and have not seen them since ,never trust a rag wing pilot , if i can shrink my photos i will post them ,maybe fishing around on the net might dredge up these original drawings
