Those prices are a bit out of date owing to the exchange rate with the Euro.Currently the single seater is about $35,000 and the two top of the wozza machines are about $85,000 plus GST. I guess everything is relative: If you want the best with the best resale value and a Rotax 914 Turbo ($39,000 alone)you have to pay. I think you will see by the time you buy a UFO and assemble it, it may not be that far behind. The performance figures need to be proved too. Same as the ELA. Apparently many disillusioned ELA buyers are going for Magnis now. I have heard of an RAF being assembled in WA which has cost a lot more than the Magni, very high assembly costs.Unfortunately the Magni is certainly not for everyone , mainly because of cost but there is something very comforting in flying a fully factory assembled machine where all parts are compatible and tested over a long period of time. How many other gyroplanes would be reliable enough to fly round the world? Over 400 flying worldwide and not a single fatality.

Michael I see they have released a variant of the M16 with bagage compartments.Has Magni made any other mod's to this aircraft, or its tail, ie: H.S. since having all this extra weight so low and far forward would change its Vertical Centre of Gravity.Sam. []Image Insert: 52.27

No other variations except that dual control has been omitted. Magni test all their prototypes extensively before manufacture. This variant has been produced due to demand from long distance flyers. See more pics and specifications on the website www.magnigyro.com.au

Yea one hell of a feat, if it were true[V]And yea.....who's flyin them ear in Oz, how many. With respect.....are you a pilot yourself, of gyros, or are you reading out their publicity stuffGeez....mine is 10yr old,no fatality, and I rekon it could fly the globe 2. The only hurdle is the logistics of it all, and payin all those corupt officials round the globe to get to land. take off again etc etc. And you could buy mine for less than half your price.Mate wat a trip that wood be.....any startersRuss....A1014 NT....gods country

Yes, I fly a Magni M16 at Margaret River WA.The attempt to fly around the world was made last year by a British helicopter pilot. The attempt was delayed for various reasons but he flew as far as India and then had to leave the machine while the monsoon lasted. When he came back to resume the trip he found that the machine had been submerged in water and was ruined. The Magni behaved impeccably all the time it flew. It will be interesting to see if anyone else takes up the challenge to cicumnavigate the globe and in what machine.

Don't know about that. Some idiot did a barrel roll in one and lived to tell the tale. If you find out any more I would be interested.
