Sad News from the Sydney area.

I"m afraid a 582 in a helicopter is not on. A Mini 500 out this way with a 582 seized up at a very inopportune time and the pilot was extremely fortunate to sort of walk away.

Herman did have a turbine powered Helicycle but had a problem with the rotor balance and damaged it while trying to sort it out. His new chopper was powered by a Rotax 582.

Am i right in remembering that Herman fitted a turbine in the helo?

Many of you will have known Herman Roesch a long time Gyro pilot and Instructor. Tragically he was killed in an Ultralight Helicopter crash near the Richmond RAAF base yesterday.
