Damage caused by running 503 without ignition suppressor ?

"Can i get away without one ?"Memory tells me that suppressors were put on car ignition leads to suppress ignition noise on the radio. They were there for ear comfort. So methinks it does not matter to leave them off. You will think you are shaving.Graham

You can run without a supressor. However, the supressor is designed to protect your other ignition parts by preventing overvoltage. Not running it does shorten the life of your engine though and if you have a coil fry on you damage might be done somewhere else.
