  • Monarch Butterfly in the West.

A while back Daj sold his newly built Monarch with MLS (High Torgue pre-rotator) and GFATLG (G Force All terrain Landing Gear) to a bloke in central OZ, who sold the gyro on to a bloke in the West as a servicable flying unit.Turns out the machine was badly damaged and the story given during the sale process simply does not ring true. The gyro was likely tipped over as substantial damage was incurred and tail patched up etc prior to sale. Later the front strut was found to be bent so too the spindle bolt, some damage to one side of the G Force, blades and prop damaged and replaced, the list goes on.Anyway long story short, a young fellow in the West, purchased the machine, recently soloed under the supervision of Adrian Stoffels and this is what Shannon and Adrian had to say about the Monarch.[i] Thanks Fella"s,

Congratulations, Shannon. You have gone where very few have gone before, you have fleetingly gained the freedom of eagles, you have discovered that you are a creature of excellence, intelligence and skill, you are free, you have learnt to fly a gyro!
