Well, its official, we will not be there unfortunatly. Very dissappinted that we will miss seeing Birdy do his stuff and miss meeting Nick and all the other's here on the forum that are going to attend.Only been to one Nationals and that was at Nettalie Station Wilcannia some years ago, I had a great time and was privileged to be asked to do some judging which was an interesting experience.Would definately have been taking the gyro this time and do some flying.Wish all those that go a great time. You will not miss me not being there but I can tell you, I will miss not being there and having fun.The one thing I would like if possible, is a video or DVD or whatever of the big event. You never know how far you can go, till you get there !

Greg Mitchell, Mr Butterfly, [Mitch]from Tasmania, put one together for the Forbes Nationals a couple of years ago. Contact him.We are still waiting for the one from Alice Springs from Mark Telford [Telf] and Chris Brand. Not sure what happened to that one.It would be worth contacting these guys.LlewellaGoing the extra miles puts you miles ahead of your competition.

Lewella, Certainly hope to be able to go next year. My wife would like to meet the ladies who come along as well. Its unfortunately a male dominated sport but hopefully the wifes and girlfriends will come along to the Nationals. Rosie reckons the girls should have their own forum !!Birdy, have a real good excuse unfortunately, think you know what it is anyway but I was certainly looking forward to having a rum or two with you and would have offered you a bed on the way to or from had we been here.Reckon there's a bottle of rum here about 14 years old, should be pretty tasty by now You never know how far you can go, till you get there !

There is usually a very good representation by the wives/girlfriends/mistresses, and surprisingly they have fun. Quite a few of the wives at Lameroo Nationals a few years ago sat in Kevin's hangar and did wonderful crafty things. While others of us organised indemnity signing, name badges, updating the database and stirring the guys! That's the best part - stirring the guys! It's the main reason I go! And we are always looking for volunteers to help us at any of the Nationals.LlewellaGoing the extra miles puts you miles ahead of your competition.
