G"Day Jordy,We import kits not turn key gyros.rocksfly@gmail.comEmail me and I"ll give you our freight forwarders details.I guess you have done your homework on this gyro.....it has been for sale for a very long time in the USA. It started off at about$25,000. Apparently it has some history of damage. You"d have to wonder why the boys in the USA haven"t snapped it up.A while back Larry Neal got some pricing on transporting a turn key gyro in a seatainer and I think from memory it was well over $5000 Good Luck.Mitch

Hey Jordy,I recently got a quote to get a RAF2000 from Miami, Florida to Brisbane for USD2,150.It seems that with the Aussie dollar going very strong and the Yanks not having the luxury of being able to afford "toys" at the moment, there may be some good deals to be found. It was mentioned to me to also remember that 10% GST will need to be added to your final cost (including delivery). As Mitch said, make sure you do your homework as you will most likely be buying the machine sight unseen.Good Luck!

The others have said pretty all, the only other thing you appeared to want to know was could it be registered assumming it meets all the required standards for construction, etc ,one would assume so.There is at least another in Australia, it was at the AVALON Airshow.

Hey Nietz,That is an excellent price, less than half what they wanted out of Dallas/Fortworth for the Aurora Butterfly in a Tin Box. This is going back about 12 months probably.Did you buy the Raf2000 or something else.?Mitch. Mitch,I was too slow and missed out on it. You probably saw it on their forum, it was the one going for USD14,000. There was recently another one for sale but he wasn"t getting the interest he would have like so decided to keep it. So I"m still keeping an eye out for a bargain....

Nietz,Getting a Sportcopter on the register shouldnt be a problem as there are 6 that I know off in OZ so far. But like anything you should get it checked out by a TA to make sure you aren"t buying a lemon. Unfortunatly I see 3 or 4 gyros a year where guys have spent their hard earned money expecting that they have bought a flier only to find its not airworthy. Just my 10c worthAdrian

Adrian,I think it was Jordy looking at the US advertised SC. been on the market over ther for 11 months. Started off around $25,000 down to what it is now. Has some history of damage. The way the $ is if you can get it shipped for $2500 plus you Customs and gst, it might be a bit of a bargain. Perhaps, it didn"t sell on the US market as mentioned due to them falling on hard times. Dont know, there"s always someone with some money. Perhaps getting it"s N number over there was too difficult. Who knows.Without someone in the US looking at it for you, it would be a hard call sight unseen. Often pictures dont tell the real story.Cheers,Mitch
