G"day Loafar, that redrive you have there was made by Nev Walker in Ayr, not far from you.I think he made about half a dozen using ford timing gears if my memory is still working. If you are wanting more info give the manufacture a call on 47833035.I have one of those engine"s myself in the shed, same setup, redrive, turbo and Larkin wooden prop. They worked very well.Graeme.

Hi aussie,As a newbie and considering most of the gyros that are subie powered have there thrust line above the crank line.So can you explain. My thrust line will end up through the base of my chest.I would advise you to lay the mast back at 9 degrees considering the heavy engine g/box configuration. A 0 degree (vertical) mast is usually used with light weight 503/582 powered gyros. CLT is much more than simply aligning your thrust line to your chest. Without even seeing your machine design, type of blades, seat tank size, and considering your current gearbox offset, I would prefer to align it with your lower stomach/gut ;D ;D ;DSamL..........

not much more to tell, just that he had a gyro which he sold to a bloke in Brisbane, he had a tail that I bought off him. He also had a engine with re-drive similar to mine but said that it is probably a different ratio, wooden prop & a set of larkin blades which he offered to me but I wasn"t interested at the time.Cheers Elwynne
