  • Getting current/re-licensed

Just wondering if any one can shed light on getting a gyroplane pilots license when you haven"t had one for many years. Idid have one back when they were a little green bit of cardboard with your photo stuck to it but seem to have misplaced it and logbook. Bout all I have as evidence that I can fly are a few ASRA champ trophies and some memories. Will it be a matter of a check flight with someone or something a bit more comprehensive?? I am currently at solo stage with RA Aus and believe that some endorsements etc are compatible with ASRA. Any info will be appreciated. Thanx.

Thanx.Hi SimonSince you haven"t any proof of a licence and no log book, officially you would need to complete the full ASRA licencing syllabus. If you are at solo stage with RAA, then I suggest you go solo, get a licence then transfer to gyros. This will mean you will only require a min of 5 hours rather than the normal 20.
