  • Gyro Nationals 2012 - possible venue

Hi guys,Just home from a long cross country trip from Mittagong to Kununurra and back and thought I"d float the suggestion of Kings Creek Station as a possible future location for the gyro nationals.

Hi,Wayne, That sounds like a great idea for a venue. Great to see you have joined the Gyro group, a nice change from motor racing eh. I assume you are the same Wayne.Ray Cutchie.

Hi Wayne,That"s a negative on the motor racing, I built a Mini 500 Heli about 6years ago and have been learning to fly it for a couple of years. My latest project is almost complete, a single place gyro with a BMW R1200GS power plant and looking forward to flying that .Will post some photos when complete. Hope to catch up with you sometime soon.Cheers, Ray.

Wayne,One of the best Nationals I have attended (other than 2010 Wongan Hills WA) was Bond Springs in NT. If you can get things organised for another in NT i am sure that the team at Bindoon WA will drive/fly across for it.Adrian

I could prob. muster up 3 or 4 gyros from darwin to fly down without ground support. Part of the fun is searching for fuel and living off the land. By the time we get there we"d probably be too nackard to compete but could just socialise.
