  • Gyros on floats

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xw7uW...2348FFDC588Are there any Gyros in Australia with floats, that is currently in use and approved by ASRA?Have anyone tried it?It would be interesting to understand the difference (with and without floats comparisons) in airspeed, fuel consumption, take off run and MTOW, considering the extra drag induced by the water and air on the floats. This is an option that might have to be considered, considering the coming wet season in Queensland!Any comments?Regards,Colin

http://www.celieraviation.eu/view/97...0091.htmlXenon on floats 2009Thats only the 100hp motor too, be interesting to see how much the floats affected the permorfance. Those floats must add a hell of alot of drag, getting out of the water would be a night mare i would think.
