I know many members have trouble finding a headset/microphone combo that works well in a noisy windy environment like an open cockpit gyro.I`m using an Icom A24 vhf radio with a Lynx Avionics Relai system headset ( which has a special chip for different radios) in my 582 powered open frame gyro and it works a treat.At last!!

What helmet you using with that almar or does that include Lynx helmet?

I simply bought a helmet on eBay, paid $200 for the `earmould` ear plugs, and then removed the mic etc from the lynx headset and retro-fitted them into my nice helmet - I don`t like the Lynx -style ultralight helmets.
