  • Extracting pictures and text from a PDF

G"Day Gents,Good news I will be posting the Chuck Beaty Ernie Boyette Interview tonight on Youtube. Look for the link with 24 hrs.I am currently working on another interview and I have some PDF files with old news paper clippings which I would very much like to attach or weave into the video interview.Managed to grab the images/text from the PDF"s and put them on a WORD Doc but I cant for the life of me get them onto the story line whilst in the edit movie making mode.Does anyone out there know how I can get these images into my video interview?I am using Pinnacle 16 BUT I have other programs I can use.Any help muchly appreciated.Cheers,Mitch.

if you can get them into photoshop you can export them as video frames, might have to multiply them (e.g. at 24frames you might need 24 jpegs (copies of the same picture)Guessing a bit, it was a long time ago I played with this.happy new year too,Art

Hey Art,I read you had returned, sounds like last year was a big one for you.I have adobe reader version 10. something. That"s what the PDF"s open up in.When I googled how to do this, I found a site that tells you how to get text and pics out of a PDF using ACROBAT V 4Downloaded that but I cant open the file. There

Downloaded NITRO PDF does text and picture extraction, outputs to several picture file types.Couldn"t change the output settings so I toot the TIFF ? pic put it in paint and it outputed to JPEG.Kai on the US forum found a slighly quicker way without downloading anything. However if anyone has it or downloads it and they can advise me how to change my output file type, this thing will deserve it"s name NITRO!

NITRO PDFWhen you download it and open it ....before you import a pdf file click on extrat a image, this brings up a dialogue box which allows you to nominate where to save and also and options button....it is in here that the picture files can be set/changed.The process of opening a PDF file and extracting an image or text in different font sizes and styles takes less than a fe seconds. The JPG pic has much more clarity at 6 plus meg. Thanks to All.

Hi Greg, what about taking a screenshot? I do it all the time but it may not be high enough res.BTW, I just received my Chinese action cam via the link you sent me but haven"t tried it yet flying, only inside but it does look pretty good so far.CheersScott
