There"s a very good article in the Febuary 2013 edition of Pacific Flyer on page 30 tittled " I went flying one day & God came with me". I personally would have tittled it something else buts thats okay.The good news is that no one got killed or badly injured but the storey sort of reminds me of those of us who get a really big rush of blood & fall into love with something that they really shouldnt & diregard all the warning bells / sirens etc going on in their head NOT to do it...untill they get enough expereince up so that they can master the monster they have fallen in love with.There were lots of stuff in that story that we can all learn from.Over the last few months I have seen one fellow on this forum wanting to build a RAF

Seems we gyro nurds are doing nothing about oz ( most of us anyway ).........latest gyro news had 2 or 3 pages about GLIDING............WTF is going on. Monro...........drop into les E"s place........him and pat, will have you running out of writing paper getting stories off em. Member here, tells me that my OLD pics can be re photoed with didgy camera, then uploaded/downloaded......(whatever the word is) so i can then put pen to paper, with pics.Guaranteed immunity from the "powers" will be demanded as things them days were mischievous to put it mildly...........rules, yea bugger the rules, just do it was the norm. Thinking a bit more re "rules".......todays rules........sorry folks, i still get into strife re them rules........it"s in me DNA

Its like this Russ, we had enough trouble getting an editor let alone get someone who"s got the time to chase people up all over the country, instead we ask & ask for readers to send in their story"s which I think is a great way to go so then EVERYONE is a reporter. The story"s/ reports etc can cover events / people[ of interest]/ flying expereinces/ learing to fly/ flying trips[ past & present and so the list goes on.I know some are gun shy of putting anything up for the gyro news for fear of this or that but those days are gone. Only articles that are clearly overstepping the mark would be vetted.So its all up to our intrepid members to get the pen out & put a story together. Whilst you may not think your story is of interest, it might be fascinating reading to someone else and I know that I for one, just love reading about something that flies so come on everyone, its your magazine & you can help make it better !!
