Old mate just turned up with a little pretty yellow SS CLT gyro with huge main wheels for me to check over, which I did. He purchased it from a ringers sister who could tell him nothing of it"s history. He wishes to register it and join ASRA so I test flew it for him off the beach. It floated into the air like a fairy. (definitely a fe-male gyro) and climbed up nicely to 200 ft. then lost power and went quiet. She came down like a fairy, gliding over the rocks and touching down on the next beach much to the delight of the sunday drinkers sitting on their veranda"s. We are curious if anyone knows it"s history. It looks to me like it was borne in central Q/Land. A sexy little thing indeed, and flew well for 4 mins. G4005 on tail.

Hello Max,I used to own that machine. I bought it of Ian Sganzerla back in 05 I think it was. Origally built by Rod Milne it was used for mustering by someone until it had a roll over. Ian bought it and rebuilt it. It was an open frame machine when I bought but I ended up putting the drifter pod on it. I sold it to Mark Clifford in the NT a few years ago to fund the purchase of a two seater. It was a lovely machine to fly.Hope this helpsRob

Thanks Dave and Rob. Yes the lad brought it off Mark Clifford. I"m helping him fill in the rego. forms, ect. The little fairy had no spark so we cleaned up all the L.T. plugs and regained spark. However now it back-fires out the rear carb. when the rope is pulled. The leads are defiantly correct so we are scratching our heads?
