  • Gyro glider action at Wondai

I flew to Wondai yesterday. It was the first time I saw a glider in real life and had an awesome experience to fly it.Special thanks to Robo in the Ute , Bruce for instruction and Allan for the Idea.I can recommend it to anyone with an interest in aviation. Here is a short video of the experience. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6GqH...playerEnjoyThe high resolution versionhttp://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=em-upload_owner&v=2f2N9ZkD49A&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3F v%3D2f2N9ZkD49A%26feature%3Dem-upload_owner

Really good footage T-Bird,Come out any time. You"re more than welcome. I"ve spoken with Bruce and new helmets with visors are definitely in the wind. Better than dust and dry grass from the strip! That"s Robo"s fault. He deliberately drove in the dry spots. Regards,Waddles.

Yeah I saw Robo smiled in the mirror before he gunned it for the dirt.Wondai is a nice airfield with great aviators.Book your calendars for ASRA Nationals at Wondai on the 18, 19, 20 and 21 April 2014.

I reckon I was watching something about WW 2 & it showed the Germans launching a gyro glider from a U boat. A great way to get a look around & see what shipping was around.

But, I think the WW1 and 2 blokes had less shrapnel and debris in their faces I would thought????
